Christmas morning
We had a nice Christmas day this year...much calmer and quieter than some years. We were able to stay home all morning and didn't have anywhere to be until late afternoon. The pic is the kids with their birthday cake for Jesus (decorated by them) on Christmas morning. We had family activites for the several days leading up to Christmas as well.

Guitar Hero III
Oh my gosh, why hasn't anyone told me about Guitar Hero??? I mean I had heard of it before, but I hadn't HEARD of it. I mean no one told me how so freakin fun it is. I think I have a serious addiction. Zach got it for his birthday and well, let's just say that I have logged many more hours than him so far. If you haven't played it, you must find someone with it and beg to play it or come over to my house and play. So fun.
Update: This is sad, very sad. 2 days into getting Guitar Hero (I mean, Zach getting Guitar Hero), I have beat the entire game on "easy". I guess it's onto medium now. But I am so sad there will be no new songs :-(

A big girl!
Yep, it's true, Zoe is officially a big girl now. She moved into her big girl bed last week. The crib is packed away in the basement. This is a first in our family. I have always had to move a kid out of their crib because we had another one on the way that would need it very soon. Putting the crib away is sort of a weird feeling...like closing the chapter of our lives that included babies. It's not a sad chapter though. I am excited about what lies ahead for my "big" kids.

I have a 7 year old....
I'm not sure what happened, but now I have a 7 year old. I really can't believe it. That sounds so old to me. We let Zach have a "friend party" this year and he chose bowling. The kids had a blast. We could barely tear them away from bowling to eat cake and ice cream. Zoe spent the whole 2 hours trying to eat as many chips and slices of cake and drink as many cups of pink lemonade that she could.
